Recommended for:
Students with advanced sewing skills. (Sewing on machine, domestic or industrial).
Good basic maths skills and a passion for technical drawing.
Adults, generally over 21 y.o. – not suitable for children or teenagers
Learn:
- Basic blocks; skirt, bodices and pants.
- Pattern development from basic blocks.
- Measure and fit to individual sizes and/or
- Make patterns to standard sizes ( Dragana Edwards Standard Sizes).
Curriculum:
- Work through exercises provided in books.
- Apply patternmaking skills to own designs: and/or
- Be inspired by leading Australian and International designers.
Course Duration:
Recommended minimum 12 weeks for a basic wardrobe. Patternmaking is a skill - to be competent, allow 2 years @ 2 hours per week during the school timetable, from Febuary to end of November, excluding public holidays and school holidays.
6 students per class, individual attention guaranteed.
Cost: On-going classes, 4 week block is a payment cycle only. The length of time you attend for is up to you. Join anytime there is a vacancy.
Work at your own pace, come for as long as you want to or need to.
